What enters the desk
ZX selects developments that could change a BIM deliverable, project control, procurement decision, licence, integration, information requirement, learning route or operational workflow. A popular announcement is not included merely because it is trending. The desk is intentionally selective and is not a complete industry wire.

Source and verification rules
- Start with the responsible issuer. Product claims link to the vendor; policy to the authority; standards activity to the standards body; event details to the organizer.
- Record the source date. The news date reflects the source publication or a clearly identified effective milestone.
- Recheck before publication. The visible source-check date records when ZX last reviewed the linked primary page for the interpretation shown.
- Separate fact from consequence. Source summaries, ZX interpretation, recommended checks and limitations are presented as distinct elements.
- Preserve uncertainty. Preview, beta, proposed, voted, submitted and published are not interchangeable states.
- Test before live use. Readers should confirm the current source, project appointment, jurisdiction, licence, compatibility and representative-file behaviour before relying on a change.
What the desk labels mean

A label is a reading aid, not a risk rating or professional instruction. A “Reference” item can still matter to a live project; an “Action now” item may not apply to every organization.
Legal and political coverage
ZX covers law, regulation and politics only where there is a credible built-environment, technology, business or project-information consequence. Reporting should identify the jurisdiction, issuing body, operative stage and uncertainty. ZX does not campaign for parties or candidates, infer legal applicability from a headline, or present an editorial summary as legal advice.
For a consequential decision, obtain advice from a suitably qualified professional in the relevant jurisdiction and preserve the current authoritative text with the project record.
How AI may assist the desk
AI may help organize candidate topics, compare wording, identify questions, classify audiences or check consistency. It must not invent a source, quote, date, product capability, legal duty, project outcome or endorsement. A human reviewer remains responsible for opening the source, writing the final interpretation, checking links and deciding whether the item should be published.
Confidential client material is not used to produce public news. Automated summaries do not override corrections or the linked issuer’s current record.
Updates and corrections
When a source changes materially, ZX may update the summary, analysis, status, source-check date or related actions. A substantial correction should explain what changed within the article rather than silently preserving a misleading version. Minor spelling, formatting and broken-link repairs may be made without a correction note.

Follow the RSS feed or JSON feed. Brief excerpts may be shared with a link to the relevant ZX page. Primary-source material remains subject to its publisher’s terms and should be cited directly where the underlying claim is used.
